Shrewsbury Town skipper Tamika Mkandawire and fellow defender Dave Winfield have left the club after their respective contracts were cancelled by mutual consent.
Mkandawire has departed after spending one season at Greenhous Meadow having joined last summer from Millwall.
The 31-year-old made 42 appearances for the Shrews, who were relegated from Sky Bet League One.
Winfield, 26, made 18 appearances for Shrewsbury last season after joining in June 2013 on a free transfer from Wycombe.
The Shrews appointed Micky Mellon as their new manager last month and he will be assisted by Mike Jackson, who had been in caretaker charge since Graham Turner stepped down in January.
