Ben Gordon has been revealed as Colchester United's second signing of the day as he arrives at the club from Ross County.

The 23-year-old defender signed a two-year deal hours after the arrival of Sean Clohessy.

Gordon spent just one year in Scotland with Ross County but has had two previous spells with Kilmarnock. The left-back joined the Chelsea academy after starting at Leeds, and has also had spells with Tranmere Rovers, Scunthorpe United, Peterborough United, Birmingham City and Yeovil Town.

The Bradford-born full-back left Ross County just 10 days after signing a new deal.

The club are expected to announce one more signing on Tuesday afternoon.
