Gillingham made it through to the final with a 2-1 aggregate win over Rochdale in the Semi-Finals. The first leg match at Spotland ended goalless but two goals from Simeon Jackson secured their place at Wembley.
Shrewsbury completed the final lineup with a nerve wracking penalty shoot-out win over Bury. Paul Simpson's side were trailing 1-0 from the first leg match and only equalised with two minutes off normal time to go at Gigg Lane. Thirty minutes of extra time failed to seperate the two sides but the Shrews went through 4-3 on penalties despite being reduced to 10 men.
