LOCAL MEETING
The Don Valley Stadium is the setting for possibly the game of the weekend in League 2 as Rotherham United take on managerless Notts County.
It will be County's first match since the departure of Ian McParland and Millers' chairman Tony Stewart is looking forward to the occasion. Talking to www.themillers.co.uk he said:
"There certainly has been plenty of interest in this game since the summer and the media focus has been increasing throughout the week.
"The game is set up nicely. We are both in a healthy position in the league table, it is a relatively local match and Notts County supporters are due to be very well represented."
County know they need a win to keep up the pressure on the teams at the top, joint Caretaker Manager Michael Johnson told www.nottscountyfc.co.uk: "It's a big game for us. We need to get something out of it.
"Going to Rotherham is a difficult place, but we have to get our act together and get on after what has happened.
"We will prepare them the right way; we will get them doing the right sort of training and conditioning.
"The main thing was to get them smiling and enjoying the training again."
Crewe Alexandra take on Port Vale in a local derby which is set to have a cracking atmosphere at The Alexandra Stadium and Crewe Assistant Manager Steve Davis is looking forward to the match and knows exactly what the game means to everyone involved.
Speaking to www.crewealex.net he explained: "We want to give our supporters the bragging rights when they go into work or go for a drink with their mates from the Potteries. There is pride at stake and the players know that.

NEW START
Aldershot Town entertain Bury at the EBB Stadium with former Southampton player Jason Dodd taking charge of his first game as Caretaker Manager.
Talking to the Aldershot Mail he said: "It is great to have this opportunity to get involved with the team and I will grab this chance and try my best to get the side where we want them to be.
"Attacking football is the strength of the side and we want build on that, we certainly don't want change something that is working.
"I'm looking forward to our first game against Bury, it will be tough but we have to go into the game very positively."
The Shakers go into the game unbeaten in their last six and Alan Knill was quick to pay tribute to his injury ravaged squad:
"The 16 players we had ready against Northampton last week are all we have and that includes a youth team player and a reserve team goalkeeper.," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"Money is tight and we just have to get on with it. The players have put in a fantastic effort, especially when you consider the Northampton game was their fifth in 14 days."
