Oxford United Manager Chris Wilder has signed a new three-year deal despite having two years remaining on his current contract.
The contract is just rewards for steering the U's back into the Football League, after winning the Conference Play-Offs back in May.
Wilder took over at Oxford in December 2008 and they finished just four points off the Play-Off places at the end of the season, before sealing promotion 12 months later.
They currently sit seventh in the npower League 2 table with nine points from their first six matches, including wins over Morecambe and Hereford United, while the highlight has to be the 6-1 drubbing of Bristol Rovers in the Carling Cup.
Speaking on the news, Chairman Kelvin Thomas told www.oufc.co.uk: "I am really pleased that Chris is committed to the football club. Not only because of our successful promotion last year but for what Chris has done for the football club.
"We felt it was right to reward his efforts. We have been able to sit down and work something out and are pleased that Chris will be here for the foreseeable future. I think we have an excellent working relationship and hope that Chris can continue the success that he has already begun to build here on the pitch."
Wilder added: "I am very grateful for the opportunity I have been given here. It is a very high profile job and I know I may not have been among the favourites for it, so I thank the Chairman and the club for the confidence they showed in me.
Assistant Manager Mickey Lewis, First Team Coach Andy Melville and Goalkeeping Coach Alan Hodgkinson have also agreed new deals.
