Aldershot Town have announced that Manager Kevin Dillon and Assistant Manager Gary Owers will be leaving the club mutual consent.
A statement on www.theshots.co.uk revealed: "Unfortunately Kevin and the Club have different ideas about how best to take the club forward. Aldershot Town and its Board of Directors would like to place on record sincere thanks to Kevin for his hard work, professionalism and commitment to the cause during his spell as manager. In particular, we would like to thank Kevin for an enjoyable ride last season taking us to the Play-Offs, the highest place in the Club's recent history.
"We recognise that Kevin has had an impressive career on and off the pitch at the highest level and we are sure that he has a very bright future in football management ahead of him. We wish him every success."
Aldershot are currently six points off the foot of the npower League 2 table in 20th position and lost 2-1 to Oxford United on Saturday, the same scoreline by which they lost to bottom club Hereford United earlier in the week.
