CHANGING PLACES

Crawley Town went top of npower League 2 thanks to a thumping 3-0 win over Burton Albion. Claude Davis gave the Red Devils a first-half lead at the Broadfield Stadium before an Aaron Webster own goal and Matthew Tubbs effort wrapped up victory.

Crawley's win saw them overtake Southend United, who now lie three points behind after a 3-0 defeat at Cheltenham Town. The Shrimpers' five wins on the road came to a comprehensive end as Jimmy Spencer, Russell Penn and Marlon Pack netted for the home side.

CHASING PACK

Cheltenham sit in third place with a four-point cushion over Shrewsbury Town, who lost 1-0 at Aldershot Town thanks to Luke Guttridge's close-range effort, while in-form Swindon Town were close to beating Bristol Rovers thanks to a Paul Caddis goal, only for Dan Woodards to level for the home side late on.

Gillingham occupy the final Play-Off position after a 0-0 draw at Macclesfield Town, while Morecambe's clash with Oxford United also ended goalless.

ELSEWHERE IN THE DIVISION

Northampton Town secured a 1-1 draw in Aidy Boothroyd's first game at the helm against Crewe Alexandra. Adebayo Akinfenwa broke the deadlock for the Cobblers, although they were pegged back by Byron Moore's effort.

Padraig Amond and Craig Lindfield netted as Accrington Stanley won 2-0 on their trip to AFC Wimbledon, while James Hanson's late equaliser gave Bradford City a valuable point against Plymouth Argyle. The Pilgrims took the lead through Craig Sutherland and had Onismor Bhasera sent off late on.

Jennison Myrie-Williams and Guy Madjo scored as Port Vale recovered from Brian Woodall's 23rd minute opener to beat Dagenham and Redbridge 2-1 at Victoria Road.

Finally, Rotherham United came out triumphant after a five-goal thriller with Hereford United at Edgar Street. The Millers took a two-goal lead through Johnny Mullins and Alex Revell but were pegged back by Yoann Arquin and Delroy Facey, before Mullins settled the tie in the South Yorkshire side's favour.
