Barnet are set to sign centre-back Jack Saville on a permanent basis after the defender's contract with Southampton was terminated.

Saville only returned to St Mary's on Monday after his loan spell at Underhill came to an end, with Bees boss Lawrie Sanchez disappointed to lose the services of the 20-year-old having been unable to strike a deal with Saints.

But the defender on Tuesday came to a mutual agreement with Southampton to release him from his contract, paving the way for his switch to Barnet.

Saville is set to put pen to paper on Thursday.
