Crawley Town have been promoted to npower League 1 following following a 1-0 win at Accrington Stanley.

Scott Neilson scored the all important goal of the game midway through the second period to secure the third automatic promotion position in npower League 2.

This is the Red Devils' second successive promotion having won the Blue Square Bet Premier last term. Despite it being their maiden season in The Football League, they were expected to challenge at the top of League 2, and have done so - racking up 23 wins.

Manager Steve Evans departed the club at the beginning of April to take over at Rotherham United, but the West Sussex club have maintained their form under caretaker boss Craig Brewster, recording four wins and two draws.
