Gillingham manager Martin Allen has secured the services of striker Ben Strevens on a free transfer, while also snapping up two signings from Notts County.

The 32-year-old was released by Wycombe following their relegation from npower League One and has signed a one-year deal.

Strevens, who counts Brentford and Barnet among his former clubs, impressed in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Dagenham in midweek.

Meanwhile, Allen returned to former club Notts to secure two new signings.

The Magpies released midfielder Charlie Allen and goalkeeper Stuart Nelson in May but they have both signed deals at Priestfield.

Allen, 20, has penned a one-year contract, with the option of a further year, while Nelson, 30, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
