The nominations for the npower League 2 Manager of the Month award for September have been announced.
They are as follows: -
Micky Adams (Port Vale)
13 points from a possible 18 ensured that Mickey Adams' Port Vale side kept within touching distance of early pace-setters Gillingham at the top of npower League 2. Despite losing to the Gills this month, the Valiants scored 16 goals in September and are clearly an attacking force to be reckoned with this season.
John Coleman (Rochdale)
One of five teams to gain 13 points in September, John Coleman has completely reversed the fortunes of Rochdale, who finished August with just two points. As well as propelling Rochdale into a Play-Off position, the run also saw the Dale inflict a first League defeat on leaders Gillingham.
Paul Sturrock (Southend United)
With only one point collected in August, Paul Sturrock's Southend United had some work to do in September and four wins, a draw and just the one loss has transformed their fortunes. With 13 points collected in the month, Southend ended up in a vastly improved 11th place and just one point outside of the Play-Off positions.
The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News, from 10am.
