Chesterfield have signed teenage forward Ben Dickenson on loan from Brighton.

Dickinson has agreed a one-month loan deal with the npower League Two club and will go straight into the Spireites squad for their game at Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Brighton boss Gus Poyet recently praised the 19-year-old and admitted that a loan spell away from Albion would be good for his development.

Dickinson joined Brighton in January 2012 from Dorchester and has featured regularly for their development squad but is yet to make his first-team bow.

He was an unused substitute for Albion's Capital One Cup tie at Swindon in August.
