Just two npower League 2 fixtures took place on Saturday after the inclement weather forced all other games to be postponed.

In the matches that went ahead Northampton Town secured their first home win in five with a 2-0 success over struggling Aldershot Town.

Jake Robinson fired Northampton into the lead just after half-time, before Clive Platt sealed the win in stoppage time.

In the other fixture Accrington Stanley came from a goal behind to draw 1-1 at home to Plymouth Argyle.

Onismor Bhasera put Argyle ahead from close range, only for player-coach James Beattie to level for Accrington, who had goalkeeper Paul Rachubka sent off late on.
