The nominations for the npower League 2 Player of the Month award for March have been announced.
They are as follows:-
Jason Banton (Plymouth Argyle)
The 20-year-old's dazzling dribbling ability helped Argyle to 13 points from 18 in March and lifted them out of the relegation zone. Prepared to run at defenders, he reveled in a free role, scoring three goals including a Devon derby day winner against Exeter City.
Steve Elliott (Cheltenham Town)
An ever-present in the league, the veteran defender put in a series of sterling displays during the month. Powerful in the air and clearing the danger at every turn, he helped to preserve three clean sheets and ventured forward at set pieces to score against AFC Wimbledon and Rotherham United.
Lee Molyneux (Accrington Stanley)
The former full-back has been re-invented as a left-sided midfielder with devastating effect. He scored five goals in March, three of them rasping drives from distance, including two in his hat-trick in the 3-2 win over Barnet which lifted Stanley off the foot of npower League 2.
The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News, from 9am.
