A Gillingham fan has been been given a five-year football banning order after pleading guilty to assaulting Wycombe goalkeeper Jordan Archer.

The teenager ran onto the pitch at Priestfield during the televised npower League Two game in February, with the Chairboys keeper avoiding injury in the incident.

Kent Police's football liaison officer Geoff Greensmith told Kent News: "The judge has sent out a clear message to all football fans that behaviour like this will not be tolerated and has no place in the game of football."
