A hat-trick by Antoni Sarcevic, with the third coming in injury-time, saw Fleetwood Town emerge 5-4 victors after an astonishing match against Mansfield Town in Sky Bet League 2.

The visitors thought they had done enough for a point when Ross Dyer levelled in the 89th minute but Fleetwood earned an injury-time penalty for a foul on Matty Blair and Sarcevic scored his second from the spot to complete his treble.

The win enabled Fleetwood to maintain their promotion challenge with the top three - who are all one point ahead on 32 points - all victorious.

Oxford United, who top the table on goal difference, made short work of Morecambe wining 3-0, through James Constable, Sean Rigg and Ryan Williams.

Chesterfield remain second after a comfortable a 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers.

Headers by Ollie Banks and Armand Gnanduillet secured the three points for the Spireites who have now not conceded a goal for four games.

Rochdale, the third of top trio, saw off spirited Exeter City to win 3-1, with goals by Michael Rose, a free-kick, Graham Cummins and Andrew Tutte. Exeter had levelled through Alan Gow.

At the other end of the table, troubles increased for Torquay United and Northampton Town who both went down to defeats.

Torquay lost 2-1 at Accrington Stanley, for whom Kal Naismith scored both goals, while Northampton were beaten 2-0 at Hartlepool United, Luke James and Simon Walton - from the spot - both scoring.

Burton Albion maintained their challenge for a Play-Off spot with Robbie Weir's goal enough to secure a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers, while Scunthorpe United maintained the pressure with a good 2-1 away win at Portsmouth, David Syers getting both goals.

A last-minute strike by Luke Prosser saw Southend United triumph 2-1 over York City, while Luke Young grabbed the winner as Plymouth Argyle were victorious by the same score against Dagenham and Redbridge.

Bury and AFC Wimbledon drew 1-1, while the match between Cheltenham Town and Newport County ended scoreless.
