Luton Town have won promotion to The Football League and been crowned as champions of the Conference Premier after Cambridge United lost at Kidderminser Harriers.

The Hatters, who were beaten 3-2 by Braintree Town on Saturday to delay their promotion, secured their place back in The League at the fifth attempt following their relegation in 2008/09, after the U's failed to pick up at least a point at Aggborough.

Luton are now 10 points ahead of Cambridge with just three games of the season remaining.
