Burton Albion have recalled Chris Hussey from his loan spell at Sky Bet League 2 rivals Bury.

Injuries in the Albion squad have led to manager Gary Rowett bringing the defender back to the Pirelli Stadium ahead of the final game of the season at Southend on Saturday, and for the forthcoming play-off semi-finals.

Hussey is out of contract in the summer and Bury had begun tentative talks with the left-back about a permanent deal, although they will now be on hold until Burton know what division they will be playing in next season.

The 25-year-old moved to the JD Stadium on loan in March and made 11 appearances for the Shakers, scoring two goals.
