Portsmouth manager Andy Awford has been named the Sky Bet League 2 Manager of the Month for April.
Thirteen points from a possible 15 in an April full of attacking intent took Portsmouth from the brink of relegation to the comfort of mid-table.
Dave Bassett, who chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel, said: "When Andy took over the club was in a very precarious position.
"He has now taken them well clear of the danger area."
Sky Sports' Football League pundit Don Goodman said: "No one envied Andy when he took on the massive challenge at Portsmouth.
"He has not only halted the free-fall but has made the club safe and now they're a club looking up again.
"His reward is the permanent manager's position and the opportunity to make Pompey great again."
Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins said: "An unbeaten April has seen Portsmouth secure Sky Bet League 2 safety.
"The pre-season favourites for the title have struggled this season but hopefully the form shown in April can be carried over into next season and get Portsmouth back up the League ladder."
