Newport County have signed centre-back Darren Jones and midfielder Yan Klukowski.

Jones, who spent two years with the Exiles between 2004 and 2006, returns following a recent spell with AFC Wimbledon while Forest Green's all-time leading scorer Klukowski has penned a two-year deal having rebuffed the Conference club's attempts to keep him.

"I said I wanted to provide quality and depth to the defence and midfield as we are strong at present with attacking options," boss Justin Edinburgh told the club's official website.

"It is great to get two targets I have been following for a while and the squad is shaping up nicely prior to pre-season."

The Exiles have also confirmed that they held talks with Kevin Feely about a permanent move to Rodney Parade but he will return to Ireland.
