Luton Town have signed Mark Onyemah and Charlie Walker on free transfers following successful trials with the club.

Both players have impressed in pre-season friendly matches this summer, with Walker scoring twice during Saturday's 4-0 win at AFC Dunstable.

Walker has put pen to paper on an initial one-year contract. The 24-year-old striker scored 43 goals for Peacehaven & Telscombe last season as they won a Ryman South and Sussex Senior Cup double.

Left-back Onyemah arrives from Thurrock where he made 20 appearances last season. The 19-year-old has signed a two-year deal.

"Both Mark and Charlie have impressed us all with their attitude and quality. They are two very talented players who are capable of doing very well for our football club," Luton boss John Still told the club's official website.

"Mark's a young boy and I'm pleased with what I've seen but he's still learning, and Charlie is an out-and-out goalscorer.

"There will be no pressure on either of them to produce straight away. I know what they are capable of and I believe in their potential. They will gradually find their way and if they do more than okay straight away then that's fantastic."

The duo's arrival takes the total number of new signings this summer to nine with Curtley Williams, Paul Connolly, Ricky Miller, Ross Lafayette, Andy Drury, Luke Wilkinson and Lee Angol also joining the newly-promoted Sky Bet League Two club.
