Ever dreamt of seeing your school play football at a National Stadium on one of the biggest days of the sporting calendar?
The npower Football League Girls Cup is a 6-a-side competition for pupils aged under 13 that culminates in the Grand Final before the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley in March 2012.

It's not just about the glory...
The new Government has announced their intention to get more young people playing competitive team sports because they believe it's a 'vital part of growing up'. npower and the Football League couldn't agree more and we hope our competition can help by highlighting to pupils the importance of teamwork, the fun of playing football and the rewards of participation and achievement.

At every stage there are some great prizes for schools to win such as team kits and footballs, along with medals, trophies and certificates so all participants can remember their achievement of taking part in one of the country's largest national football competitions.

In addition your local club will offer the opportunity for the winners and runners up from their local competition the opportunity to attend a match at their stadium and receive club prizes in a pitch side presentation, with the winners receiving a coaching session by the club prior to the regional final and the opportunity to meet the Manager.

How does my school get involved?
Getting involved couldn't be simpler. If you want your school team to take part in the Girls Cup U13 competition, then simply get in touch with your local Football League club. Clubs will be organising their local tournaments to run from 3rd October 2011 onwards so don't delay, give them a call.

If spaces are available the club will then provide you with all the information you require to make the necessary arrangements.

We look forward to you taking part in the npower Football League Girls Cup and wish you the best of luck.
