Community Cup and Girls Cup
Reach 3,000 schools and 25,000 children under 13 by becoming title sponsor of The Football League's Community Cups and Girls Cup. These national competitions bring local schools and Football league clubs together to compete against other clubs to win a place in a final at Wembley Stadium.
An opportunity to become the title sponsor of four national six a side football competitions for U 11s (mixed boys and girls) and U13s (girls). Each of the 72 League clubs organises a competition through their local schools commencing in October each season. The under 11s is split into the 3 Leagues and each club in that League hosts a final to select their representative school. Regional Finals are then held and the northern and southern winners play the Final at Wembley Stadium prior to the 3 Divisional Play-Offs in May. The U 13s Girls Cup is played at Wembley prior at the League Trophy Final in April.
How does it work?
Each club has a Community Department who engage with local schools and provide opportunities for children to attend top quality coaching courses and present youngsters with the chance to watch 1st team football. As part of the club's activities, which include holiday courses and numerous healthy lifestyle initiatives, the Community Cup provides exciting competitions to further involve local schools with their local football club. Schools in each club's catchment area compete to represent their club. Regional finals then commence until the teams win through to Wembley.
Who's used it in the past?
Kelloggs Frosties who used it for their "Earn Your Stripes" competition as part of their healthy lifestyle campaign. Railtrack used the competitions to increase awareness amongst school-children not to play near railway lines. BT used it as part of their corporate and social responsibility programme to encourage children to take an interest in sport and become involved with their club from an early age.

Competition co-ordinated by football clubs and Football League regional officers working with local schools. Use of the first team pitch to host local finals and use of the Wembley Stadium pitch and facilities to host the National Finals prior to The Football League events. Opportunity to link-in with government agencies e.g. Sportsmatch to provide further funds for participation.
