Leeds United, represented by Willow Tree Primary School, brought home some silverware by winning the npower Football League Kids Cup Championship final at Wembley Stadium. They beat Swansea City, represented by YGG Pontybrenin, after Bryn Sumner put them ahead just before half time with a fantastic finish.

Leeds United captain, Jack Lazenby said: "It feels amazing to win at Wembley Stadium. It was a difficult game as our opponents had some home support, but we didn't let it affect us and Bryn scored a brilliant goal. Touring round Wembley before the game helped settle our nerveas a bit and to be able to play on the actual pitch was unbelievable."

"Even though we didn't win, the experience we have had today we will always remember," said Swansea City Captain, Luke Williams. "We had our families here supporting us today and we are really excited to be watching our home side Swansea City play in the game after us."

The npower Football League Kids Cup is a national tournament for U11 schoolchildren. Local schools go head-to-head to win the opportunity to represent their local Football League club in the regional stages.

Each year the npower Kids Cup Final is played prior to the Play-Off Finals.

Gary Speed, Manager of the Welsh National Team sent the finalists a special good luck message ahead of their game. He told them: "Reaching the npower Football League Kids Cup Final is a huge achievement in itself so you should all be very proud of yourselves. Remember what I taught you in our coaching session and I look forward to hearing the result."
