Led by legendary pundit, Chris Kamara, 'Team Kammy' is made up of football fans representing 17 clubs from across the UK, representatives from the media, as well as newly promoted Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers, former Coventry City Manager Aidy Boothroyd and Middlesbrough Chairman Steve Gibson.
The 29-strong party will be trekking up Africa's highest peak together between 9 and 18 June 2011, with a second trek leaving later in the month, to raise money and awareness for The Football League's Charity Partner for Season 2010/11, Marie Curie Cancer Care. All money raised will help the charity provide more free nursing care for people in their own homes.
Over the course of the trek we'll be keeping you up to date with their progress via a daily blog as well as regular tweets from the slopes via @football_league, using the hashtag #FLKiliClimb.
Here's an introduction to the team members, as well as links to online donation pages.Alternatively you can support them by texting 'Kammy' to 70777 to donate £1.50 to the charity. For full terms and conditions, visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/smsterms.
