Coca-Cola



Coca-Cola Great Britain has been the title sponsor of The Football League since the 2004/05 season.

The full title of the competition is The Coca-Cola Football League, which is divided into the Coca-Cola Championship, Coca-Cola League 1 and Coca-Cola League 2 - the season climaxing each May in the Coca-Cola Play Offs at Wembley.

'Coca-Cola' and 'Coke Zero' are the Official Soft Drinks of The Football League, and 'Powerade' is the Official Sports Drink of The Football League.

Coca-Cola has been investing in football at all levels for over 30 years - from grassroots events through to the UEFA European Championships and FIFA World Cup. Its ongoing commitment to The Football League, its clubs and their communities can be seen through Coca-Cola's changing of its iconic logo to individual Football League Club Colours, along with its activation of the 'Win a Player', 'Buy a Player' and, more recently, 'Talent from Trash' initiatives, which have seen over £1 million invested directly into Football League clubs.

Carling

 
 

Coors Brewers (Carling)

Coors Brewers sponsor the 'Carling Cup' and is an 'Official Partner of The Football League', following the announcement of a renewed three-year agreement from the end of the 2005/06 season.

The arrangement will enable the League and Coors Brewers to develop further the excellent partnership, established over eight successful seasons of sponsorship of this competition - the first five being under another Coors brand, Worthington.

Commenting on the deal, Martin Coyle, head of sponsorship at Coors Brewers, said ""Carling has a proud history in British football and bringing fans closer to the game so we're naturally delighted to extend the Carling Cup deal until at least 2009.

"Respect for the Carling Cup has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of seasons: fans love it and clubs relish the chance of the first major piece of silverware of the season and the associated ticket into European competition. It seems there's never been a better time to be backing the competition."."

Carling is the UK's best-selling beer having become the first one to achieve sales of over 4.5 million barrels per annum.

Carling's sponsorship deal runs until the end of the 2008/09 season.

Johnstones




Johnstone's Paint Trophy

The Football League Trophy will be titled the Johnstone's Paint Trophy for the next three seasons following the signing of a new sponsorship agreement between The Football League and Johnstone's Paint.

The new partnership represents the biggest financial investment by a sponsor in the 23-year history of the knock out competition for clubs from Leagues 1 and 2.

Angus Blundell, Marketing Manager at Johnstone's Paint, said "This is one of the most important and exciting days in our company's history.With 165 decorator centres throughout the UK, Johnstone's works in partnership with decorators and specifiers from every region and we're pleased to be putting something back into their communities."

Mitre

 

Mitre is the "Official Supplier of Footballs to The Football League", supplying match and training balls to all 72 League Clubs.

Mitre's current 4 year deal makes them the longest serving of The Football League's commercial partners, enjoying a relationship that dates back more than 20 years.

Always innovating, Mitre has introduced the Club Badged Ball programme to the League. Championship and League 1 teams currently enjoy playing with their own unique Club Badged and Club  coloured matchball. By season 2009 / 2010, all 72 League Clubs will use Club Badged Balls. Replicas of these balls are available exclusively through Club shops.



Puma



Puma became the League's first ever Official Technical Partner in a deal announced in December 2005. The new partnership, which will run until 2009, will see Puma make a substantial contribution to The League's successful Youth Development programme - firstly, as a sponsor partner to The Football League Youth Alliance and secondly, through the provision of complimentary, market-leading football boots to the 1,100 apprentice players (aged 16-18) on the books of League clubs.

e-on

E.ON is the Official Energy Partner to The Football League in a deal lasting until 2010, with fans and the environment set to benefit.

The sponsorship will see E.ON supporting The Football League's 'Fans of the Future' initiative while E.ON will also work closely with League clubs to promote environmental awareness, in particular energy efficiency.

Speaking at the launch of the partnership, Head of Sponsorship at E.ON, Mike Thompson said: "Working more closely with clubs across the League will allow us to extend our reach to football fans, customers and E.ON colleagues in the communities in which we operate. By investing in exciting initiatives such as 'Fans of the Future' we hope to encourage the next generation of football fans to support their League club".

Nicotinell

Nicotinell is the Official Nicotine Replacement Therapy of The Football League having agreed a two year partnership to help fans give up smoking following the smoking ban imposed at stadiums throughout The Football League at the start of Season 2007/08.

Nicotinell have created a website for fans pledging to quit (www.keepthefire.co.uk/football/) where they can win prizes for both themselves and their club.

Commenting on the deal, a spokesperson for Novartis said: "This new partnership between Nicotinell and The Football League should benefit everyone. Six [winning] clubs will see a cash injection but all clubs should see a more pleasant environment for families to enjoy football and help the long term health of a club's loyal fan base."

Kia are the "Official Car Supplier to The Football League" under a three year deal that runs until the end of the 2008/09 season

 

Pontin's is the sponsor of The Central League and The Football Combination, following a two-year deal announced in June 2003.

Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook is the Official Travel Partner of The Football League.

 

Under a three-year arrangement which was announced in December 2004 supporters of League Clubs will have the opportunity to join club-branded travel schemes and receive an exclusive Football League Travel Card offering discounts on any holiday organised through Thomas Cook.

League Clubs will benefit through a royalty paid by Thomas Cook on each holiday booked by their supporters.In addition, each club will have the option for Thomas Cook to arrange reduced-cost travel packages for fans and players to away matches. They may also select Thomas Cook as their overall travel partner to handle all travel arrangements including business travel for the players and management team.Thomas Cook will also handle The Football League's business travel needs.
