Derek Quinn is the man for a crisis.
Quinn combines his duties as Press Officer at the Coca-Cola League 2 club with a full-time job for Lancashire Police.
He has worked in the communications department at the force for nearly five years.
Part of his role includes promoting Police Sport UK and the competitive inter-force championship events.
Quinn said: "There are a lot of decent athletes across the forces.
"The Metropolitan Police football team includes Lee Gledhill, who used to play for Barnet."
And when he is not busy promoting the work of the police, Quinn, 40, can be found at Christie Park where he has held down a variety of duties from programme seller to turnstile operator since the age of 11.
His current position as Press Officer has led him to work as a broadcaster for BBC Radio Lancashire, where he reports on all the Shrimps' games.
It's Quinn's broadcasting work that has provided him with his greatest Morecambe memory so far.
He said: "I was allowed to sit on the bench at Wembley at the Play-Offs Final against Exeter in May 2007.
"I went onto the pitch with my microphone to interview players after the final whistle.
"To be at Wembley on the biggest day in Morecambe's history was a marvellous experience."
Quinn has seen Morecambe rise from the Northern Premier League to establish themselves in League 2.
As a schoolboy, he sold programmes outside Christie Park.
Quinn added: "In those days Morecambe had average gates of about 320.
"I only lived about half a mile from the ground and I got to know the players really well.
"I remember when goalkeeper John McKenna sent me out to get him some hairspray!
"Over the years we've had Dave Jones, the current Cardiff manager. And Jim Harvey who took us up to the Conference.
"Now boss Sammy McIlroy is doing an excellent job. He is very ambitious and is desperate to keep pushing the club forward."
Morecambe have revealed ambitious plans to move to a new ground, about one mile from their current home, in two seasons' time.
The £6m stadium will boast a capacity of around 7,000.
Quinn said: "Everyone is excited about the plans for the new stadium. It will be the start of a new era for Morecambe."
