Summer might have been a washout but Swindon Town fans have dusted off their bikinis and beachwear  one last time to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.

The club billed their recent Coca-Cola League 1 match with Southend United as 'The Beach Party at STFC' inviting fans to travel to the County Ground in beachwear, play beach volleyball and enjoy live music courtesy of an African percussion band.

Prizes were awarded to the best dressed Robins, including holiday vouchers and hospitality tickets and the day was complete as Swindon took all three points with a 2-1 win.

The League 1 club have several more events in the diary designed to encourage a new breed of fans to the County Ground, starting on September 26th with the 'Generation Game'.

No Bruce Forsyth won't be introducing the teams or providing the half time entertainment. Instead the game versus Wycombe Wanderers will allow families to buy a discounted 'Three Generation ' ticket for just £30.

While the forthcoming match with Hartlepool will see the Kick Out Racism campaign take centre stage and to add emphasis to the message the club have teamed up with their Community Department to run a poster competition with over 20 schools.

They are also inviting the pupils from those schools to the game with their parents/guardians, and for every ticket sold the school will receive 50% of the value. With the revenue generated schools can buy much needed equipment and materials.
