Nearly 200 years since Mitre stitched its first football; Britain's oldest sports brand is still bringing sports lovers together in Football.

Mitre is the "Official Supplier of Footballs to The Football League", supplying match and training balls to all 72 League Clubs. Mitre's current 4 year deal makes them the longest serving of The Football League's commercial partners, enjoying a relationship that dates back more than 20 years.

In Season 2007/08, Mitre introduced the Club Badged Ball programme to the Football League, where the 24 Championship clubs enjoyed playing with their own unique Club Badged and Club coloured matchball. The launch was such a success that 2008/09 season saw the introduction of the 24 clubs in League 1 provided with individual balls, and then from 2009/10 Season, all 72 clubs through the three divisions have their very own ball to play with. Replicas of these balls are available exclusively through Club shops.

Mitre's current agreement with The Football League runs until the end of Season 2014/15.
