Bradford City supporter James Mason will not be starved of success this season - even if the Bantams fail to win promotion!

James has won a year's supply of pies after entering a competition run by Holland's Pies - official sponsors of League Cup giant killers Burnley.

The Lancashire-based company ran a promotion asking supporters to suggest why they should become a top pie-taster.

The opportunity sparked applications from across the country and even as far as Olso, New York and Islamabad!

James, 30, from Rawdon, West Yorkshire, who runs a staircase company, won the pies after explaining how he has sampled his favourite snack at football matches across the world.

He said: "I've tried pies at games in Sydney and the Azteca Stadium in Mexico - as well as the weekly feed in the Kop End at Valley Parade!

"So I think I'm really well qualified to judge, and very pleased to win!"

James will get his hands on 365 pies over the season and has been invited to Holland's factory in Accrington to sample the entire range.

He said: "I only entered as a bit of fun and couldn't believe it when they told me I'd won.

"Holland's have invited me to their headquarters to have a look round, taste some pies, and tell them what I think.

"I love pies but the missus is struggling to see the funny side. She has no idea where she is going to keep all the free ones I've been promised.

"I think it's great and at least we won't starve this season."
