Reading made it through to the Play-Off final with a 3-0 aggregate win over Cardiff City. The first leg ended goalless before the Royals won at the Cardiff City Stadium, thanks to two goals from Shane Long and another from former Bluebird Jobi McAnuff.
Swansea secured their place by also scoring three goals, beating Nottingham Forest at the Liberty Stadium. Again the first leg ended goalless so it was all to play for in the second match. Two goals in five minutes from Leon Britton and Stephen Dobbie, set the home side on their way. A goal with 10 minutes to go from Forest striker Robert Earnshaw set up a nervy finale for the home side but Darren Pratley's goal from inside his own half, in injury time, wrapped up the win.
